Poskrom is a trio from Poznań — Kacper Sikora (bass), Szymon "Śniegoś" Śniegowski (alto saxophone), and Michał "Wiechu" Wład (drums) — three musicians with deep roots in improvisation, metal, and jazz, who met through the city's music co-working studio and were bound to create something unusual.
Their name comes from the Polish word for a livestock crush — a cage of paralysis and control. Their debut album Popłoch (January 2026) lives up to it. Rooted in Poland's new jazz fusion scene but far more harrowing, the music is heavy, jazzy, and experimental all at once — slow-burning bass, steadily tightening drums, and saxophone that erupts in beautiful, haunting bursts of improvisation.
